This policy explains what personal information Fablewings (fablewings.com) collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

• Your account: email address, name, and your password stored only as a secure one-way hash.
• Family profiles: the first names and avatars you choose for each profile, including children's profiles that a parent or carer creates. We do not ask children for any information.
• Your reading: books you save, and the page you reached, so we can take you back to it.
• Email updates: if you join our list, your email and whether you are a reader or writer.
• Technical data: our host, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and basic request data to deliver and protect the site.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• To provide your account and reading features (performance of a contract).
• To send email updates you asked for (consent; you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To keep the site secure, for example limiting repeated failed sign-ins (legitimate interests).

Who processes it

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and its database. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts download. We do not sell your data and do not use advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which removes your account, profiles and reading data. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email us and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
